Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity provides the chance to make a significant impact in a supportive environment, working closely with a dedicated full-time Teaching Assistant and a multidisciplinary team.

Your expertise will help shape the educational journey of students who benefit from intensive academic and behavioral support. With dedicated classroom support and resources, you’ll have the tools needed to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and foster student success.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Hold a current New York Special Education teaching certification, appropriate for middle and high school levels.
  • Prior experience developing and implementing IEPs.
  • Skilled in effective behavior management strategies and classroom routines.
  • Proficient in differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning needs.
  • Comfortable collaborating with a Teaching Assistant and multidisciplinary specialists.
  • Demonstrated background supporting students with intensive academic and behavioral requirements.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a self-contained 12:1:1 classroom (up to 12 students, 1 certified teacher, 1 full-time TA).
