Your Work Matters
As a Store Planner, you'll turn ideas into dynamic retail spaces that captivate customers and drive sales. Every layout you design directly shapes the shopping experience, supports operational efficiency, and reflects the Floor & Decor brand. Your work ensures our stores aren't just places to shop, their destinations that inspire and delight.
Your Day Consists Of
• Design and implement store layouts and floor plans that maximize product visibility and sales potential.
• Revise plans as needed for prototypical changes throughout the project
• Collaborate with construction, operations, IT, and merchandising teams to ensure layouts align with brand standards.
• Maintain as-built drawings and track project progress using Store Planning Project Tracker.
• Conduct virtual store visits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Manage fixture and signage placement for consistent brand presentation.
• Present store planning projects to internal partners and recommend innovative solutions.
You'll Be Successful With
• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture
• Proven experience in store planning and retail design
• Strong CAD 2D skills (AutoCAD 2018 or higher)
• Attention to detail and a keen eye for design and customer experience
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of construction and construction processes
Work Environment / Physical Expectations
• Primarily a sedentary role with extended periods of sitting, though occasional walking, standing, or light physical activity (lifting up to 20 lbs) may be needed.
• Work is typically performed in a quiet to moderate office setting, with occasional exposure to active warehouse environments and moving equipment.
