Test Platform Software Developer & Integrator

Asurion is the global leader in technology support and protection. Innovation and dedication to delighting customers have made it the preferred provider of technology protection to the world's largest wireless carriers, trusted retailers, and popular device manufacturers. Asurion's 17,000 global employees support its 280 million consumers with an award-winning experience delivered through products and services that have set the standard in the industry.

Summary of Job:

The Test Platform Software Developer & Integrator will join the Global Test Engineering team to design, develop, and integrate software solutions that optimize Asurion's test platforms and improve operational efficiency. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Test Engineering, this role focuses on developing and integrating applications, APIs, and data systems that streamline test workflows, increase automation, and improve traceability and reporting across Asurion's global testing environments.

This position works closely with engineering, operations, and quality teams to connect and enhance third-party testing software, automate manual processes, and enable seamless data flow between systems. The role also involves driving continuous improvement through software innovation-reducing manual steps, increasing testing throughput, and improving system visibility and performance.

This position is dedicated to enabling seamless integration, automation, and innovation within Asurion's testing ecosystem to deliver better speed, efficiency, and accuracy across all test operations.

This is a full-time onsite employment position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and integrate software tools and systems to improve test platform efficiency, automation, and data connectivity.
  • Create and maintain APIs, automation scripts, and integration frameworks that connect Asurion's internal and third-party testing systems.
  • Collaborate with test engineers, software developers, and operations teams to identify process bottlenecks and develop software solutions that improve speed, consistency, and scalability.
  • Implement continuous integration (CI) and automation improvements that enhance overall test performance and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, dashboards, and reporting tools to provide visibility into test metrics, process health, and system performance.
  • Integrate third-party diagnostic, test, and data management applications into Asurion's global test environment.
  • Support test automation efforts that allow high-volume device testing, improved traceability, and reduced manual input.
  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve integration efficiency and maintain system compatibility.
  • Work with global teams to ensure standardized software integration methods, frameworks, and documentation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for integrations, APIs, and process workflows.
  • Provide troubleshooting and debugging support for test software, integrations, and related systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure test software aligns with business requirements, operational technology, and long-term test strategy.
  • Remain flexible and adaptable to evolving technologies and project needs, supporting initiatives that contribute to Asurion's operational success.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Strong proficiency in software development and integration, including programming languages such as Python, C#, or JavaScript (Node.js/React).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, SDKs, and web services for system-to-system integration.
  • Understanding of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and system integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with data management, SQL/NoSQL databases, and developing dashboards or reports for analytics and visibility.
  • Knowledge of test software, device diagnostics, and production automation systems.
  • Ability to integrate and optimize third-party platforms such as DAX, Blancco, or diagnostic tools.
  • Experience developing automation workflows or scripts to reduce manual test operations and improve throughput.
  • Understanding of data workflows, system architecture, and operational technology integration.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and debugging complex integration issues across systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with an emphasis on continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills for maintaining clarity across technical and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors and global teams to align technical integration standards and ensure successful implementation.

Behavioral Dimensions

  • Strategic Thinking & Innovation - Anticipates future trends, encourages experimentation, and fosters a culture of continuous innovation to maintain Asurion's competitive edge.
  • Collaboration & Relationship Building - Builds strong partnerships with directors, peers, global teams, and external suppliers; promotes teamwork and shared success across organizational boundaries.
  • Adaptability & Resilience - Maintains focus and effectiveness in changing business environments, balancing evolving priorities with long-term objectives.
  • Results Orientation - Sets high standards, drives accountability, and ensures delivery of KPIs, milestones, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Influence & Communication - Communicates complex technical ideas clearly, presents findings confidently to leadership, and influences decision-making at all levels.
  • Leadership & People Development - Develops front-line leaders, builds a strong team culture, and delegates effectively to maximize team capability and growth.

  • Global & Cultural Awareness - Demonstrates sensitivity to global perspectives, ensuring solutions and communication are effective across diverse regions and partners.
  • Attention to Detail & Critical Judgment - Ensures accuracy in scope, validation, and execution while applying independent technical judgment to complex problems.

Education and Experience Guidelines:
