Position Overview

We are actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Sports Physical Therapist to join our growing team at Body and Spine PT in Henderson, Nevada. This full-time role will involve evaluating and treating a diverse range of patients, primarily focused on sports rehabilitation and orthopedic recovery. As a Sports PT, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing athletic performance, preventing injuries, and facilitating recovery through personalized treatment plans and hands-on therapeutic techniques.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical abilities, limitations, and specific needs to devise tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, using a variety of techniques and modalities such as manual therapy, exercise prescriptions, and advanced rehabilitation technologies.
  • Develop and administer strength and conditioning programs aimed at improving general fitness, enhancing sports performance, and facilitating safe return-to-sport protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment options, rehabilitation strategies, and self-care techniques to foster independence and maximize recovery.
  • Document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on patient feedback and clinical outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including strength coaches, nutritionists, and physicians, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in physical therapy practices and continuously integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with athletes at various skill levels who are recovering from sports-related injuries, as well as individuals needing rehabilitation from orthopedic surgeries and chronic pain conditions. Your role will involve not only treating injuries but also providing preventative care and performance optimization strategies, helping patients achieve their athletic goals.

Qualifications
  • A valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in Nevada is required.
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are crucial for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A commitment to high-quality patient care, evidenced by a proactive approach to patient success and treatment outcomes.
  • A strong interest in professional development, including willingness to engage in advanced continuing education programs, certifications, and potential residency or fellowship opportunities.
Preferred Experience
  • At least two years of experience in physical therapy, with a focus on sports performance, rehabilitation, and strength and conditioning preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting within a sports medicine or orthopedic clinic is advantageous.
  • A background in implementing strength and conditioning programs tailored for athletes is highly regarded.
Compensation and Benefits
