Title: Technical Producer-Sports

Salary Range: $70,000-$90,000/Year

Full Time Temporary Project Ending September 30 2028

Position Overview

Creative Technology (CT) is looking for a Technical Producer Sports to work directly inside our client's organization on a large, long-term sports technology program in Los Angeles. This person is one of CT's representatives on the ground attending meetings, owning the program schedule across multiple venues, coordinating design work, and making sure the right people have the right information at the right time. The role requires someone who is highly organized, can read and understand AV and broadcast systems well enough to hold credible conversations with engineers and clients alike, and can represent CT professionally in a demanding client environment. Experience in sports broadcast, live events, or in-house sports production is required.

Job Description

  • Serves as an on-site CT representative at client site for a minimum of 3 days per week during non-operational periods. The other 2 days can be remote.
  • Serves as an on-site CT representative at client site as project demands (often 5+ days including weekends) during operational / critical periods.
  • Acts as the day-to-day interface between the end-client, general contractor and CTs internal engineering and project leadership teams.
  • Oversees activities associated with project including but not limited to: site-surveys, submittals, engineering, fabrication and installation, programming, commissioning, testing and troubleshooting.
  • Owns and maintains the project schedule.
  • Acquires a thorough understanding of project requirements and objectives including, but not limited to: contractual, financial, technical, schedule, construction coordination, materials, personnel, and scope of work.
  • Ensures the ordering of materials upon approval of submittal documents or verification from engineering for design-build projects.
  • Coordinates with installation/operations manager to schedule personnel for installation.
  • Proactively manages the change order process.
  • Prepares and assembles project submissions and program documents; coordinates input from CT engineering and project leadership to ensure deliverables are complete and meet program goals.
  • Attends and facilitates project meetings on CTs behalf; captures action items, distributes meeting notes, and follows up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Prepares and distributes regular program status reports to CT leadership and client stakeholders covering schedule progress, open items, and upcoming milestones.
  • Coordinates and/or provides training to client.

Required Skills

  • 3- 5 years of AV / Sports Broadcast or In-House Production industry experience.
  • The Ability to coordinate and manage tasks to meet project objectives.
  • Will possess a high-level understanding of AV system functionality and installation process and techniques.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical, personnel or other project related issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft project, Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to prepare complete, professional program documents, submissions, and business correspondence independently and to a high standard.
  • Ability to read and comprehend project technical documents including, but not limited to; engineering and architectural drawings, schedules, test reports, or commissioning documents.
  • Ability to own and maintain a program-level schedule across multiple concurrent project sites.
  • Ability to interact with employees, customers and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Effective time management and attention to detail.
