Job description

POSITION: Assistant Professor in Kinesiology - Sports Management
DUTIES: East Texas Baptist University invites applications for a full-time career track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Kinesiology. The position begins in August 2026 and will include teaching 24-29 credit hours per year, participation in departmental reviews, contribution to curriculum development, and student advising duties.
QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience with the ability to teach across several Kinesiology subdisciplines is preferred. Candidates should have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, the ability to communicate well with students and colleagues, an appreciation for Christian higher education, and demonstrate a personal Christian faith. Practical experience in sport management and/or sport marketing is highly desired. ETBU faculty members are expected to participate in the life of the University via faculty meetings/workshops and by participating in/attending student activities and events.
EDUCATION: Doctorate in Sport Management or a related field in Kinesiology. ABD considered
