Program Dates: June 1, 8, or 15, 2026 - December 4, 2026
Start and end dates are flexible. Interns must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) in person at the designated office location.

Sony Pictures Television's Nonfiction group is the feature documentary, premium content, and reality unit within Sony Pictures Television (SPT). Through ownership interests in or partnerships with production companies Sharp Entertainment, B17 Entertainment, 19 Entertainment, This Machine Filmworks, Maxine, and 32 Flavors, the group creates and produces content in every form of nonfiction programming for audiences worldwide, currently totaling more than 100 series across 35 networks.
Development, Production & Current Programming Overview: Interns will support the Development, Production, and Current Programming teams across a variety of administrative, operational, and creative functions related to both active productions and projects in development. Responsibilities may include conducting research, brainstorming concepts, assisting with pitch materials, supporting production logistics, and learning about key industry players, business operations, casting, scouting, and on-set processes when available. Through exposure to the full content lifecycle-from idea generation and development through production and current programming-interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of the creative and operational processes required to bring successful television and film projects to life.
Responsibilities
• Support executives and team members with administrative and project-related needs
• Conduct research, brainstorm creative concepts, and assist with pitch materials and presentations
• Proofread and help develop creative documents, treatments, and decks
• Assist with production logistics, travel coordination, vendor communication, and expense tracking
• Participate in development and production meetings and observe decision-making processes
• Gain exposure to casting, scouting, production management, and business operations
• Support on-set activities and special projects when available
• Organize files, maintain project materials, and assist with office operations as needed
Qualifications
• Strong interest in nonfiction and unscripted television
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, positive attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Google Workspace preferred
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design/editing tools is a plus
The anticipated base salary for this position is $22/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
