Job description

Job Overview

We are seeking an O&M Solar Field Technician to support the operation and maintenance of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience troubleshooting inverters, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring optimal system performance.


Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial and industrial solar PV systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair string and central inverters.
  • Diagnose electrical and system performance issues using monitoring platforms and testing equipment.
  • Perform inspections, testing, and commissioning support for solar PV systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Complete maintenance reports and maintain accurate service records.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with NEC, OSHA, and company safety standards.
  • Travel to project sites as required.


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in solar O&M, preferably on commercial or industrial PV systems.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting SMA, SolarEdge, Sungrow, Fronius, Solectria, or other string/central inverters.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical systems, PV equipment, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and construction drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.
  • NABCEP certification and OSHA 10/30 are a plus.
