Description
As a member and technical leader in the Consumer and Care organization, you will provide hands-on software design, development and technical leadership across a range of products and user personas to support the advancement of precision health.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership through system design, hands-on software development, and architectural decision-making, while designing scalable solutions and defining technical strategies that support long-term product growth.
  • Own and drive major product and platform initiatives, leading the design and review of complex software components, systems, and features while advocating for innovative, forward-looking technical approaches that support multiple business needs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop technical leaders and engineers by promoting engineering excellence, sharing design best practices, and establishing coding standards across the organization.
  • Identify, implement, and continuously improve software development processes that enhance design, implementation, testing, deployment, maintenance, and overall engineering effectiveness.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including privacy, security, and quality teams, to ensure compliance while independently managing project priorities, timelines, deliverables, and execution.

Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
  • Hands on experience leading project teams and setting technical direction
  • Demonstrated authority and mastery of a technical domain
  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in software development
  • Experience delivering software using a general purpose programming language (e.g., C/C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, Go, Objective-C, and/or Swift).

Preferred qualifications:
  • Clear written communication, especially in design and architecture documents
  • Experience working directly with end customers, stakeholders, cross functional teams
  • Demonstrated large scale business impact from delivered solutions
  • Interest and ability to learn new coding paradigms and languages

This role is eligible for Verily-sponsored immigration support.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $240,500 - $270,500 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
