Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical design for projects and features, producing architecture documents and
  • driving consensus
  • Own larger services and complex features across the microservices architecture
  • Design and build Spring Boot microservices with well-defined APIs, ensuring scalability and
  • maintainability
  • Design and implement event-driven systems using SNS/SQS, EventBridge, or Kafka
  • Architect and deploy serverless solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, and related services
  • Develop and maintain production systems in Java with Spring Boot, TypeScript (Vue/React),
  • and Python
  • Drive architecture decisions within your area, balancing technical excellence with delivery
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and design guidance

Qualifications:

  • Significant professional experience in software engineering with demonstrated growth
  • Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot for microservices development, and TypeScript
  • (Vue or React) for full-stack delivery
  • Deep SQL expertise including complex query optimization, schema design, and database
  • architecture. Able to design data models, evaluate tradeoffs between SQL and NoSQL,
  • optimize queries, and make informed technology choices for a team or service
  • Experience designing and deploying microservices on AWS or Azure
  • Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture (SNS/SQS, EventBridge, Kafka)
  • CI/CD pipeline ownership including design, optimization, and maintenance
  • Experience with serverless patterns (Lambda, Step Functions)
  • Strong system design and REST API design skills
  • Demonstrated mentorship experience with junior and mid-level engineers
  • Agile/Scrum leadership including sprint planning and backlog refinement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python experience for data pipelines, automation, or ML/AI integration
  • Experience with LLM/AI capabilities including RAG, multi-agent patterns, or prompt
