Who You Are:

The role of the Social Strategist is to monitor, analyze, and report on key social media metrics across the Michael Kors social ecosystem, surfacing insights that drive key brand and business decisions and shape strategies. This person will also focus on competitive analysis across the fashion & luxury industries along with supporting other social functions across the landscape as needed. This role will lead in synthesizing insights from social data, from the performance of brand and influencer content to social listening. In summary, this person will help Michael Kors answer the "so what" of social media, using data to tell stories and provide actionable recommendations.

What You'll Do:

  • Build the 'Team Kors' Employee Ambassador Program identifying key talents for social amplification and engagement.
  • Support the sourcing and management of UGC content, including content review, collaboration with BazaarVoice, and ensuring timely delivery and upload of assets to eCommerce platforms.
  • Assist Organic social team members with posting content across platforms as needed
  • Analyze and report on organic social performance and brand sentiment using a combination of native and custom analytics tools. Deliver weekly reports and synthesis to senior leadership for discussion.
  • Lead competitive research and analysis across social media & 360 activations within the fashion & luxury industries.
  • Work with external vendors and technology platforms to configure and maintain analytics tools.
  • Ensure the right information is delivered to the right stakeholders at the right time (real time, daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc)
  • Identifying trends over time and make forward-looking recommendations based on past performance.
  • Benchmark results against competitors, keeping current on key trends, industry innovations and emerging social networks
  • Be comfortable relaying social media data insights and analyses to senior management, in addition to helping educate the company at large
  • Support with social community management
  • Support Social commerce with set-up, management, data and insights to optimize performance across social shopping experiences (IG Shops, etc.) as needed

You'll Need to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 3+ years social media strategy experience
  • Demonstrated experience in synthesizing data analyses into actionable results
  • Additional experience/exposure in social media across paid, owned & earned preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Experience using standard social listening tools and platform native analytics (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, Pinterest, Weibo, Threads, WeChat, etc.)
  • Ability to jump in and lend a hand on ad hoc projects outside of official role
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and multitask effectively
  • Thrive in a fast paced on-time deliverable environment
  • Strong insightful analytical skills and business acumen
  • Creative and proactive communication skills
  • Ability to work in NYC office 4 days a week
