Job description

Foley Equipment is the authorized Caterpillar dealer in Kansas and NW Missouri.
Our Heavy Equipment Lube / Service Field Technician (CVA Technician) is primarily responsible for providing high quality preventive maintenance on systems with a primary focus on heavy construction services.
Hourly Base Rate: $26.28 - $58.30 / hour

What You Will Do in This Role:
  • Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on all systems
  • Repair or replace parts as required within the defined expectations of the task
  • Order replacement parts and services in a manner that promotes efficiency and effectiveness
  • Test and verify correct operation of all maintenance repairs and adjustments
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with customers on their maintenance and repairs.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as required by fluctuating workloads, available for after-hours calls as needed
  • Travel is required for training and/or to assist at other locations.

Physical & Working Requirements
  • This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include:
  • Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance
  • Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials
  • Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights
  • Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods
  • Safely operating tools and equipment

Our Ideal Candidate:
  • Basic mechanical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics
  • General knowledge of basic hand tools, air tools, precision measuring tools and instruments
  • Understand crane hoist and rigging equipment (preferred)
  • Preferred forklift experience
  • Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins and other related publications
  • Class A CDL required or ability to obtain CDL within three months of start date
  • Ability to drive and valid CDL license required
