Job Specifics:
  • Location: 744 S. Webster Ave., Green Bay, WI 54301
  • Hours: Full Time, 0.8 (32 hours/week) or 0.9 (36 hours/week) available!
  • Work Schedule: Shifts vary between Monday-Friday with start time between 10:00 am-2:00 pm. Shifts are 8-hours. Call rotation every 8th week (3-4 weeknights or 1 weeknight with the weekend. Also, 1 holiday per year).
  • Unit Description: Perioperative care is divided into three main areas: Pre-op, PACU, and Short Stay. In pre-op, staff collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to prepare patients for surgery. The PACU, also known as the recovery area, is a critical care space where staff attend to patients immediately after surgery. In the Short Stay or Phase II area, staff ready patients for discharge.

Job Description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.
Qualifications:

  • Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the State of Wisconsin required upon hire
  • ACLS and PALS required upon hire or within six months of hire
  • Completion of surgery nursing certification within one year of eligibility required
  • Previous RN experience is preferred.
