Crawlspace Lead Technician – Lenoir, NC | $22–$25/hour

Lead the crew, own the quality, and set the standard for every crawlspace we touch. A-1 Termite & Pest Control is hiring a full-time Crawlspace Lead Technician in Lenoir, NC, serving the surrounding area. This is a hands-on leadership role for an experienced professional who can take ownership of job quality, production, safety, and team development.

Location: Lenoir, NC

Compensation: $22–$25 per hour, based on relevant experience

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays during peak season. Overtime may be required.

Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; $10,000 in company-paid life insurance; paid holidays; and up to two weeks of accrued PTO.

A-1 Termite & Pest Control is seeking an experienced, detail-driven Crawlspace Lead Technician to run jobs from start to finish and mentor our encapsulation crews. If you take pride in leading from the front, solving problems in the field, and delivering work that is complete, clean, and customer-ready, this is your kind of job.

What You'll Do

  • Lead encapsulation and moisture-control jobs on site, directing a crew of one or more technicians.
  • Read and execute job scopes, ensuring every installation meets A-1’s safety, quality, and workmanship standards.
  • Install and troubleshoot vapor barriers, liners, dehumidifiers, sump pumps, drainage systems, foundation-vent sealing, and rim-joist insulation.
  • Identify moisture, standing-water, airflow, humidity, and wood-destroying-organism-related conditions and complete approved corrective work within the job scope.
  • Perform approved structural repairs, including subfloor and support work, as needed.
  • Perform final quality inspections and confirm each job is complete, clean, and customer-ready.
  • Train, coach, and develop technicians on proper technique, safety, and professionalism.
  • Manage materials, tools, and job-site logistics to keep crews productive and on schedule.
  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for homeowners, handling questions and concerns professionally.
  • Report job status, issues, and material needs to the branch or division manager.

What We're Looking For

  • At least two years of relevant experience in crawlspace encapsulation, waterproofing, construction, insulation, pest control, or a closely related trade.
  • Experience leading crews or taking ownership of jobs from start to finish.
  • Working knowledge of crawlspace moisture control, vapor-barrier installation, drainage systems, dehumidifiers, and common structural repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the judgment to make sound decisions in the field.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Comfortable working safely in tight, low-clearance spaces and varying temperatures.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs., kneel, crawl, work on your hands and knees for extended periods, and perform the same physical work you lead.
  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets company vehicle-insurance requirements.
  • Ability to maintain a neat, customer-ready appearance and follow the company dress code.
  • Ability to report daily to the Lenoir office and travel to customer locations throughout the surrounding service area.
  • Availability for occasional Saturdays during peak season.

What We Offer

  • Competitive lead-level pay of $22–$25 per hour, based on relevant experience.
  • Paid training and the tools, equipment, and support to do the job right.
  • A company vehicle for job-related travel; it must be picked up from and returned to our Lenoir office each workday.
  • A stable, growing company with a clear path for advancement as our Crawlspace Division grows.
  • The chance to build and lead a crew that does the job right—every time.

If you’re ready to lead, we’re ready to talk. Apply today.

A-1 Termite & Pest Control is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Employment is contingent upon successfully completing required background and drug screenings.
