Job description

Cross Domain Solutions Engineer (CDS)

Cybersecurity Engineering Specialist III - Enterprise Cross-Domain System

Location: St. Louis, MO - on site

Time Type: Full time, Exempt

Clearance Required to Start: Active TS/SCI (U.S. citizenship required)

Additional Requirement: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government polygraph (post-hire requirement)

Travel: Less than 10%, local

Salary Range: $101,000 – $111,000

Moving data between security domains, safely, at enterprise scale.

RISA is hiring a Cross Domain Engineer to provision customer dataflow in an Enterprise Cross-Domain System for an Intelligence Community customer. CDS is a small field and the work is genuinely hard: you own the design conversation with stakeholders, the implementation, and the health of the system once it is running. You will talk to the owner here, not a recruiting queue.

What You Will Do

  • Collect requirements from stakeholders and determine the best implementation approach.
  • Schedule and run Technical Exchange Meetings to whiteboard design and implementation detail.
  • Coordinate implementation approach and timeline with technical and project management staff.
  • Identify and remediate implementation conflicts across CDS technologies enterprise-wide.
  • Respond to and resolve service outages, technical queries, and system issues.
  • Run system checks across processes, services, network, and storage to assess overall health.
  • Write the technical documentation and deliver the briefings that go with the work.

What You'll Bring

  • U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI.
  • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a Government polygraph after hire.
  • Education and experience, per the contract labor category criteria: Bachelor's degree in a field applicable to the position plus 6 years of relevant experience. Equivalents accepted - Master's plus 4, Associate's plus 8, or High School diploma/GED plus 10.
  • DoD IAT Level II certification.
  • Linux, with a working understanding of operating system security practices.
  • TCP/IP networking and network security concepts.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on with Cross Domain Solutions and operational support of CDS technologies on the NCDSMO-approved products list.
