Job description

Systems Engineering Lead Omitron is seeking a Systems Engineering Lead to serve as the overall lead for all Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (SEIT) functions on a secure data processing and distribution enclave (Red LAN) used to receive and distribute Space Domain Awareness (SDA) data. This is a senior engineering position responsible for system lifecycle management, integration, and governance of the Configuration Control Board (CCB) and Engineering Review Board (ERB) processes that keep the enclave's technical baseline sound and defensible. The SEIT Lead owns the technical health of the system across its full lifecycle, from identifying components that need modernization, through deficiency reporting and change management, to formal test and configuration baseline control. Responsibilities
SEIT Management
* Provide overall SEIT management of the system.
* Manage, test, integrate, and monitor operational functionality across the enclave.Lifecycle and Modernization Planning
* Monitor system components and identify those needing modernization (Tech Refresh).
* Maintain a critical components list and spares management plan.
* Maintain a parts obsolescence plan and initiate Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) assessments for end-of-life hardware and software.Deficiency Reporting and Change Management
* Support the Deficiency Report (DR) and change management process in accordance with AFI 63-101/20-101 and applicable supplements.
* Participate in all DR and CCB events, initiating planning for configuration baseline review, interface documentation reconciliation, and system familiarization.
* Own submission of Change Requests (CRs) and CCB/ERB technical presentations for all system integration cycles.Technical Documentation and Baseline Control
* Maintain and update the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and associated engineering drawings, specifications, and Formal Test Plans.
Minimum Requirements * US Citizenship required.
* Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required; SAP eligibility required or must be attainable.
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Experience: 10 or more years of systems engineering experience, including demonstrated leadership of SEIT functions on classified, multi-domain ground systems or similar mission-critical infrastructure.
* Experience with cross-domain solution (CDS) integration, configuration management, and CCB/ERB governance processes.
* DoD 8570/8140-aligned technical certification.
* Periodic travel is required.
Preferred Qualifications * Education: Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Direct experience supporting Space Domain Awareness (SDA) systems, U.S. Space Force, or Intelligence Community mission environments.
* Experience with DMSMS assessment and parts obsolescence planning on a fielded government system.
* Familiarity with AFI 63-101/20-101 acquisition and sustainment processes.
* Experience authoring or maintaining a System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and Formal Test Plans.
* INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or equivalent certification.
Working Relationships * Reports to: Program Manager, Red LAN.
* Collaborates with: Computer Information Systems Manager/Transition Lead, sustainment engineering staff, and site leads.
* Customer Interface: Government engineering and configuration management stakeholders; CCB/ERB participants.
Schedule and Environment * On-site at a secured, classified facility; specific site(s) to be confirmed at award.
* Supports a system requiring continuous data processing and distribution; may require support outside standard hours for CCB/ERB events, DR response, or integration activities.
* Periodic travel required to support CCB/ERB events, Government meetings, and site visits.

Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $190,000, depending on relevant experience, location, contract award terms, and other factors. Benefits include:
