rhode is seeking a detail-oriented, hands-on Senior Inventory Accountant to own and optimize end-to-end inventory accounting. You will analyze system-to-3PL variances, manage reserves, prepare reconciliations, and strengthen internal controls. You’ll design and deliver monthly financial and operational reporting, and perform deep-dive inventory and cost analyses to ensure accurate, timely financials. This role sits within Accounting, supports the Inventory Accounting Manager, and partners closely with Operations, Finance, and broader Accounting to drive scalable process improvements.

What You'll Do
  • Monthly inventory reconciliation for 3PL and CM locations
  • Monthly Flux analysis on inventory GL accounts on balance sheet and income statement
  • Verify receipts at all locations weekly
  • Assist in creating process to review all production runs and accurately write off scrap
  • Review landed cost allocation percentages monthly and make updates as needed
  • Improve procedures for inventory accounting process to better support internal controls
  • Attend annual physical count at one of our locations
  • Assist inventory accounting manager with various audit and ad-hoc requests
  • Perform and/or review month-end journal entries and account reconciliations for inventory related accounts including:
    • Prepaid inventory
    • Inventory in transit
    • Accrued purchases (inventory received, not billed)
    • Inventory CM Clearing
    • Accrued inventory
  • Quarterly review/clean up of NetSuite transactions including:
    • Purchase Orders
    • Work Orders
    • Transfer Orders
 
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of hands-on inventory accounting experience; prior audit experience is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and inventory valuation methodologies.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Budgeted Salary Range: $90-100K
The base salary range for this role is listed above. 
 
Total compensation includes base salary, annual company-based performance bonus, and equity. Under e.l.f.’s annual bonus program, employees are eligible to earn up to 200% of their target bonus when company performance exceeds defined goals. In addition, e.l.f. provides a variety of other benefits to employees, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a retirement savings plan, gender neutral parental leave, and unlimited paid time off. The amount of total compensation (including base salary) offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including geographic location, experience, specific skills, and qualifications.
