This position is critical for local payor extracts and at-risk contracts such as Excellus, Fidelis and Molina. Position is regional and supports both St. Joseph's and St. Peter's Health Partners.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
The Report Developer will be responsible for the following:
  • Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Analyze and resolve issues related to reports and data
  • Analyze, design and develop reports and extracts
  • Manage vendors
  • Project management
  • Provide reporting maintenance and support reporting tasks related to routine system upgrades
  • Provide technical support and coordination for clinical and operational leaders
  • Support end user reporting training as needed

EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Healthcare or a Technical field required
EPIC certification a plus
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Necessary skills for successful report developers include:
  • Chronicles - Basic understanding
  • Crystal Reports - Mastery
  • EPIC - Basic (certified) within (6) months
  • KBSQL and/or SQL - Proficiency
  • Microsoft Access, Excel and Word - Proficiency
  • Microsoft PowerPoint and Project - Basic understanding
  • Minimum (3) years experience in a report developer role, preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Self-directed with excellent organizational, analytical, writing, problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Windows - Proficiency

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Exposure Class I or II, service specific - various, depending on service - limited exposure to situations which could cause serious illness or injury.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Light work: standing, walking, sitting for prolonged periods of time. Light lifting regularly, moderate lifting occasionally
