Job description

Marine Engineering Division, Vice President
Reporting to the SVP Operations, this position will be responsible for Business Development, Marketing, Resource Management, and technical oversite of the Maritime Division of a major Engineering firm based in the NY/NJ metro area, with offices in eight states including Florida and California. The VP will manage client relationships, review financial results, implement QC procedures, and hold the group to the highest professional standards.
Responsibilities:
Evangelize for the company and its technical divisions in existing and new markets.
Coordinate with Business Development to manage and nurture leads.
Proposal review and approval.
Supervise regional managers developing local markets.
Manage staffing and assign manpower as appropriate.
Guide and mentor engineering staff.
Set and ensure high professional and technical standards are maintained.
Monthly/Quarterly oversight of financial results and work closely with CFO.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum fifteen years with leadership experience in Maritime Engineering.
Experience and strong contacts in the NYC waterfront market (i.e., Parks and Ferries). Knowledgeable of issues and challenges in the market.
Demonstrated success leading a team of Maritime engineers.
Experience addressing groups and making professional presentations.
