Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments and therapy sessions with families, couples, and individuals, focusing on relationship dynamics and mental health issues.
  • Engaging in evidence-based treatment interventions tailored to the needs of each client while collaborating with the clinical team to develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Addressing a wide array of therapeutic topics, such as grief and loss, substance abuse, familial conflicts, communication difficulties, and adjustments related to separation and divorce.
  • Utilizing appropriate therapeutic techniques within a family systems framework to foster a nurturing environment for healing and understanding.
  • Tracking client progress and outcomes, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal support and recovery.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will focus on a diverse clientele that includes individuals, couples, and familial units facing various challenges. You will have the opportunity to assist clients dealing with:

  • Alcohol Abuse
  • Physical and Psychological Abuse
  • Grief and Loss Issues
  • Family Conflict and Siblings Rivalry
  • Job Stress and Medical Issues
  • Adjustment Issues related to Blended Families, Separation, and Divorce
  • Communication Difficulties, including Mom/Daughter conflicts
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with an active license in the state of Georgia.
  • Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant therapeutic experience, particularly in a clinical setting.
Preferred Experience

While not required, the following attributes may enhance your candidacy:

  • Experience offering family therapy and addressing family systems issues effectively.
  • Comfort with using telehealth technologies and digital platforms in providing therapy services.
  • Skills in working with children and adolescent populations in a therapeutic setting.
