• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, gathering pertinent information about clients' experiences, behaviors, and backgrounds to formulate individualized treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to individuals, couples, and families, adapting techniques based on client needs.
• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups focused on common mental health concerns, fostering a sense of community and shared understanding among participants.
• Coordinate care with other mental health professionals, such as psychiatrists and psychologists, ensuring a holistic approach to client well-being.
• Provide crisis intervention services and effective support during mental health emergencies, employing sound judgment to assess risk and respond appropriately.
• Educate clients about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate, confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring client information is securely handled in our electronic health record system.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, attending case consultations and team meetings to stay current with best practices in mental health therapy.

Our patient population represents a diverse array of backgrounds and mental health needs. You will work with individuals facing challenges such as anxiety disorders, depressive disorders, relationship issues, and substance use disorders. • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCMFT, LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW-C in the state of Maryland.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and create effective treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Experience delivering therapeutic services to a wide range of populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethical practice.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and common computer applications essential for documentation and client management.
• A collaborative spirit and ability to work harmoniously within a multidisciplinary team.

• Experience in a remote or outpatient setting delivering therapy through telehealth modalities.
• Previous involvement in community outreach or psychoeducational initiatives aimed at promoting mental health awareness.
• Familiarity with specialized treatment niches, such as trauma-informed care or substance abuse recovery.

Union Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
