In this vital role, you will utilize your skills and expertise to provide top-quality mental health care to clients through safe and effective telehealth services. Your primary objective will be to foster the psychological wellness and resilience of those you serve, guiding them through various mental health challenges.

About the Organization

Backpack Mental Support, Inc. is a leading provider of mental health services, specializing in evidence-based therapies that empower individuals to navigate their personal challenges. Our organization is committed to offering comprehensive mental health support, with a focus on trauma, anxiety, and depression. We believe in a holistic approach, integrating various therapeutic modalities to suit each client's unique needs, ultimately fostering personal growth and improved mental health outcomes.

Work Environment

This position is entirely remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from your own home while ensuring you can create an effective therapeutic environment for clients via telehealth platforms. Our work schedule is primarily Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 4 PM, with some flexibility required to adapt to client needs. We understand that mental health care does not follow a strict timeline and are committed to creating a responsive and supportive environment for both our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments using evidence-based practices to understand each client's challenges and develop tailored treatment plans that cater to their unique backgrounds and needs.
  • Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), ensuring the use of proven methodologies for effective treatment outcomes.
  • Maintain diligent and confidential clinical records adhering to HIPAA regulations and other applicable standards, ensuring the highest level of professionalism in all practices.
  • Collaborate closely with a multi-disciplinary treatment team that consists of psychiatrists, psychologists, and fellow mental health professionals to create a cohesive care plan for each client.
  • Participate in regular case consultations and peer review meetings to continuously improve the quality of care and share best practices amongst the team.
  • Provide education and support to clients and their families about mental health topics and available community resources, empowering them with knowledge to assist in the recovery process.
  • Stay up to date on the latest research, techniques, and tools in the mental health field, integrating this knowledge into your practice for improved client outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work with a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing a wide array of mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and relationship issues. Our clients are seeking to improve their mental health and overall well-being, which makes your role crucial in guiding them through therapeutic processes tailored specifically to their needs. Your expertise and compassionate approach will help create a safe space for clients to explore their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • An active license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of New Jersey.
  • A strong proficiency in solution-focused psychotherapy interventions, enabling you to tailor your therapeutic approach to match individual client needs effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that enhance rapport with clients and facilitate a positive therapeutic relationship.
  • Robust problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities that allow for effective navigation of complex client scenarios.
  • A collaborative spirit that thrives in team environments, demonstrating a commitment to joint growth and the sharing of expertise.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in a remote setting, with proficiency in telehealth platforms and digital communication.
  • Prior experience in providing evidence-based therapy is preferred.
  • Demonstrated history of working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to deliver comprehensive mental health services.
Compensation and Benefits
  • A competitive salary in the range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
  • Robust health benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage.
  • Life and disability insurance for enhanced financial security.
  • Coverage for professional liability and malpractice insurance, allowing you to practice with peace of mind.
