We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Data Entry Specialist for a temporary remote opportunity. Candidates must reside in South Carolina. This role is ideal for someone with healthcare and data entry experience who enjoys structured, process-driven work and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and documentation quality.
The Medical Data Entry Specialist will support healthcare data workflows by reviewing patient information, downloading and organizing medical records, reformatting reports and PDFs, and entering information into tracking spreadsheets. This is a strong opportunity to contribute to an important healthcare support function while working independently in a professional, organized environment with clear expectations and provided equipment.
The team environment is highly independent, allowing employees to manage their workload and priorities throughout the week. Candidates who are self-motivated, organized, dependable, and comfortable working with medical documentation and computer systems will be well positioned for success.
Key Responsibilities
- Download patient information, reports, and medical records from internal systems for processing and upload.
- Upload required documentation to payer portals following established procedures.
- Reformat reports, convert files to PDF, relabel documents, and organize records for accuracy and accessibility.
- Enter data into spreadsheets for tracking, reporting, analysis, and team visibility.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with workflow requirements.
- Support Quality Reporting team communication and assist with administrative data needs.
- Download, organize, and process patient information and medical records.
- Reformat reports, convert documents to PDF, and relabel files accurately.
- Enter healthcare data into spreadsheets for tracking and analysis.
- Support documentation workflows for payer portal uploads and quality reporting.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay: $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
- Assignment type: Contract/Temporary.
- Assignment duration: Temporary assignment through early 2027.
- Equipment provided.
