Position Overview

Connect Serenity Counseling Services, Inc. is actively seeking a dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a full-time, remote capacity. This role is designed for compassionate professionals holding licensure as an LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC. You will play a critical role in supporting the mental health and well-being of families, particularly focusing on Black birthing individuals.

Work Environment

The position is primarily a remote role, allowing for flexible working conditions while still delivering impactful mental health services. As part of our outpatient team, you will engage with a variety of colleagues and stakeholders, ensuring a multidisciplinary approach to client care. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage actively in community outreach and engagement initiatives to enhance holistic wellness and build a supportive network for birthing families.
  • Participate in clinical consultation sessions aimed at interdisciplinary learning and professional development.
  • Complete essential clinical documentation accurately and timely to support care continuity and compliance with professional standards.
  • Provide comprehensive behavioral health assessments and interventions, including individual counseling and case management for clients.
  • Consult with multidimensional care teams, including medical providers, midwives, doulas, and lactation specialists to ensure integrated care delivery.
  • Facilitate childbirth education and postpartum support groups in collaboration with birth professionals to foster community and shared learning.
  • Perform additional duties as required to meet the evolving needs of our clientele and operational demands.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on supporting Black birthing families, ensuring that their unique needs are addressed with cultural sensitivity and awareness. This role is essential in creating a safe space for clients to explore their mental health in relation to pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting. Through personalized care, you will directly contribute to improved mental health outcomes for underserved populations.

Qualifications
  • A master's degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Valid licensure as either a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to communicate professionally across diverse populations and interdisciplinary teams.
