Job Description

Columbia Community Mental Health is a nonprofit agency and Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic that provides services to individuals with mental, addiction and developmental disabilities.

Position: Mental Health Internship

Shift: Our agency provides services Mon-Fri from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Our agency is able to work around school schedules, but general internship hours will be held during this time frame.

Salary Range:โ€ฏAll internships at CCMH are unpaid.

Position Requirements: Our internships are for students who are enrolled in a masterโ€™s level clinical program, (with a focus on counseling) within an accredited university. All applicants who apply must be within the last year of their masterโ€™s program to be considered for an internship.

Summary: CCMH interns will support therapeutic services to adults, children, adolescents, and families as assigned. Duties may vary per location/department. The intern will also conduct comprehensive clinical assessments as a part of the diagnostic process, reviews ongoing delivery of services, identifies individual client needs and diagnoses substance use and/or mental health disorders. They will assist in conducting individual, family and group sessions to provide therapeutic treatment, and behavior modification using evidence-based practice to assist clients in reaching treatment goals. Duties will also involve case management and coordination of community resources to meet client needs.
