Join Connect Serenity Counseling Services, Inc. as a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor. This full-time, remote position allows you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and families, particularly within the Black birthing community. You will leverage your skills as a licensed mental health professional to provide comprehensive mental health services, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for all clients.

Work Environment

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility and convenience while maintaining a high level of client interaction. You will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals, including medical providers, midwives, and lactation consultants. Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with prenatal care team members, including OBGYNs, doulas, and lactation consultants, to ensure comprehensive and quality integrated care for clients.
  • Co-facilitate childbirth education and postpartum peer support groups, partnering with experienced birth workers to empower and educate families.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives aimed at promoting holistic wellness among birthing individuals and families, helping to build a supportive village around them.
  • Participate in clinical consultation hours and multidisciplinary learning sessions to enhance your skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
  • Complete all required clinical documentation to ensure compliance and accurate client records.
  • Deliver direct mental health services, including behavioral health assessments, counseling, and case management to Black birthing families.
  • Perform additional duties related to mental health care as assigned.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our primary focus is on Black birthing families, who often face unique challenges in the healthcare system. As a Senior Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will work closely with these families, offering tailored support and resources to help them navigate their experiences with pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum adjustments. Your role will be critical in fostering resilience and promoting mental wellness within this community.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC).
  • A masterโ€™s degree in a behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary team.
  • Capability to work autonomously while seeking assistance when necessary, ensuring efficient and effective client care.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with maternal mental health and perinatal settings is highly desirable.
  • Background in community health engagement or program development aimed at enhancing healthcare access for underserved populations.
  • Strong facilitation skills for leading support groups and workshops with diverse groups.
Compensation and Benefits
