This remote position offers you the flexibility to provide high-quality mental health services from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our community-focused practice.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct in-depth mental health assessments that consider a patient's history, presenting issues, and potential therapeutic interventions to develop tailored treatment plans.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to address the individual needs of clients.
  • Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups to foster community connections and address common mental health issues faced by clients.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver coordinated care, ensuring that all aspects of patient treatment are considered.
  • Provide crisis intervention services, offering immediate support and strategies to clients in acute distress.
  • Engage patients in educational discussions about their mental health conditions, treatment options, and relevant community resources that can assist in their recovery.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with relevant legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will provide care to a varied patient demographic, including those experiencing conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse. Your clinical acumen will support individuals from all walks of life, helping them navigate challenges in their emotional and mental health journeys.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelorโ€™s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
  • A current and valid professional license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York is essential.
  • Strong understanding of various mental health disorders and an array of evidence-based treatment approaches.
  • Exceptional skills in conducting thorough mental health assessments and crafting effective, individualized treatment plans.
  • Demonstrated experience providing individual and group therapy services to clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to professional ethics and advocacy.
