As a fully remote position, this role provides the flexibility to work from your own environment while interacting with patients via secure telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' mental health to gauge the severity of their mood disorder symptoms, ensuring an accurate understanding of their needs and history.
  • Collaborate with clients to craft individualized treatment plans that integrate their personal goals and preferences, ensuring they feel actively engaged in their care.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to the unique challenges faced by each client.
  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take charge of their mental health journey.
  • Monitor clientsโ€™ progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Engage in collaborative care with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to provide integrated treatment and ensure a holistic approach to patient wellness.
  • Keep abreast of the latest evidence-based practices related to mood disorders, continually refining therapeutic techniques to enhance treatment efficacy.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client sessions and treatment plans in compliance with legal and ethical standards, using EMR systems for efficient record-keeping.
  • Participate actively in case consultations and team meetings to strengthen clinical skills and stay updated on best practices within the field.
  • Act as a client advocate, promoting awareness and destigmatization of mental health conditions.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily work with adults experiencing mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Your compassionate approach will help patients navigate their challenges, improve their quality of life, and access the support they need.

Qualifications
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
  • Strong background in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
  • Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists.
  • Proven success in achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients with mood disorders.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Master's degree or higher in a related mental health field is preferred.
