Empathetic Therapy Services is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our innovative team in a full-time remote capacity. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' symptoms related to mood disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder.
  • Collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans that consider clientsโ€™ unique needs, goals, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
  • Provide ongoing education to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Work closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate integrated care and comprehensive support for your clients.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorders to continuously enhance your therapeutic techniques and effectiveness.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to legal and ethical guidelines while documenting client interactions and treatment outcomes.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and training sessions to promote ongoing professional development.
  • Act as a client advocate to address mental health stigmatization and ensure the delivery of respectful and effective care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your work will primarily focus on clients experiencing mood disorders, including those who may be homeless, refugees, or victims of domestic violence. By providing tailored support and guidance, you will address the unique challenges faced by these populations, helping them develop coping strategies and improve their emotional well-being.

Qualifications
  • A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A completed Masterโ€™s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • A strong sense of empathy and a non-judgmental approach towards clients' experiences and struggles.
  • Effective organizational and time-management skills to handle a diverse caseload and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
Preferred Experience
