Position Overview

Life Engagement Counseling Center is actively seeking a committed and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to enhance our dynamic team. This full-time remote position focuses on providing high-quality mental health services to clients facing significant challenges related to major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive approach to both clinical practice and community engagement, contributing to improved health outcomes for clients in Los Angeles, California.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a therapeutic rapport with clients, building trust and fostering an open, supportive atmosphere conducive to healing.
  • Conduct initial screenings and assessments using evidence-based practices, determining the appropriate level of care for clients.
  • Create and implement integrated care plans, ensuring clients have access to necessary services and support while collaborating closely with family members and other healthcare providers.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions aimed at addressing presenting issues while promoting empowerment and resilience.
  • Engage in crisis intervention and management, demonstrating quick thinking and effective strategies in high-pressure situations.
  • Maintain a caseload of clients, conducting thorough progress monitoring, treatment evaluations, and implementing necessary adjustments to the care plans.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client progress and strategize on care delivery improvements.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation in a timely manner for all client interactions, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Stay current with changing regulations and best practices to maintain compliance with the standards set forth by our organization and relevant licensing boards.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our client population primarily consists of individuals experiencing significant mental health challenges, including but not limited to, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, and other severe emotional disturbances. We are dedicated to tailoring our services to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring that their treatment is responsive, respectful, and effective.

Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) designation in California.
  • A minimum of two years of experience providing mental health services in a clinical setting, particularly with underserved populations.
  • Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis management; proven ability to deliver culturally competent care.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated capability in collaborative teamwork, navigating diverse perspectives, and fostering relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong organizational skills and familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and data management.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working in community health clinics or similar environments that serve diverse and low-income populations.
  • Background in developing and facilitating group therapy sessions and psycho-educational workshops.
  • Familiarity with local resources and support networks for mental health services in Los Angeles.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 to 85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
