Position Overview

Life Engagement Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team in a full-time remote position. This role is pivotal in providing therapeutic support and counseling to our clients, who often face significant mental health challenges in a hospice setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy to clients experiencing major mental health issues and severe emotional disorders, tailoring approaches based on unique client needs.
  • Develop and implement integrated care plans that align with clients’ treatment goals, ensuring comprehensive access to necessary services.
  • Conduct brief, evidence-based assessments to evaluate client needs, implementing more detailed assessments as necessary.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance client care, sharing insights and strategies to improve treatment outcomes.
  • Assist in crisis intervention efforts, utilizing proven techniques to manage acute situations and ensure client safety.
  • Monitor client progress, maintaining accurate documentation and timely completion of reports in compliance with organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, actively contributing to committee discussions focused on improving patient care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our licensed social worker will work primarily with clients facing severe mental health challenges, many of whom reside in vulnerable and medically underserved communities. By providing culturally competent care tailored to their backgrounds and needs, you will help clients navigate their emotional and psychological struggles while promoting overall well-being.

Qualifications
  • A valid LCSW license in California is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field is mandatory; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, with a focus on mental health.
  • Evidence of knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for mental health conditions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment, demonstrating respect for diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and client management.
Compensation and Benefits

The total annual salary for this position ranges from USD 70,000 to 85,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
