Job description

The North America Shared Services Back Office Specialist isresponsible for the administration, support, implementation, and continuousimprovement of restaurant Point of Sale (POS) and back-office technologysystems. This role will primarily be responsible for managing and optimizingour current NCR Back Office databases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operation, support, and maintenance of restaurant back-office systems.
  • Lead the implementation, configuration, testing, and rollout of new system functionality, upgrades, and technology initiatives.
  • Ensure reliable communication and integration between restaurant systems and corporate platforms.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technology issues reported by restaurant teams and corporate users.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, and system performance issues while coordinating resolution with internal and external support partners.
  • Research and recommend system enhancements, process improvements, and emerging technologies to improve restaurant operations.
  • Develop and maintain training materials, user documentation, and system procedures.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing and validation activities for system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities to improve stability, usability, and efficiency.
  • Ensure technology solutions align with company objectives and operational needs.

Qualifications Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Experience

  • 3-5+ years of experience supporting restaurant technology, POS platforms, or business applications.
  • Experience in multi-unit restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments preferred.
  • Experience managing system implementations, upgrades, and vendor relationships.
  • Experience troubleshooting system integrations and data communications between store and corporate applications.
  • Experience with NCR's suite of software solutions strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of restaurant POS and back-office systems.
  • Understanding of restaurant operations and technology support processes.
  • Experience troubleshooting software, integrations, and system performance issues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience developing training materials and supporting end users.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and technology innovation.
