This position is fully remote, allowing you to work effectively from the comfort of your home while maintaining a schedule that promotes work-life balance. The typical work week is from Monday to Friday, spanning 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Our virtual clinic is equipped with advanced telehealth technology that facilitates seamless communication with clients, ensuring that even in remote settings, they receive quality therapeutic support.

In your role as an LMFT, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that align with their personal goals, preferences, and healthcare needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote effective coping strategies.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with their evolving needs.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic care for clients.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health to continually enhance treatment approaches.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with legal and ethical guidelines in all documentation and client communications.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Advocate for the mental health needs of your clients and work towards reducing the stigma surrounding mental health challenges.

Your work will primarily focus on a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing mood disorders, as well as vulnerable populations such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. You will be pivotal in navigating their complex emotional landscapes, facilitating healing, and providing unwavering support during challenging times.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to build a secure and trusted therapeutic relationship with clients through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental approach toward clients' experiences and challenges.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage treatment schedules, client progress, and administrative responsibilities.

While not mandatory, candidates with prior experience working in community mental health settings or with diverse populations will be favored. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and techniques will also enhance your application, enabling effective and efficient service delivery.
