Work Environment

This position offers a fully remote work setting, allowing the successful candidate to engage with students and staff from the comfort of their own home while providing essential mental health support. The work aligns with a traditional Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend availability as needed for specific cases.

Key Responsibilities

The Licensed Clinical Social Worker will be tasked with a comprehensive set of responsibilities aimed at enhancing the mental health of our students:

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of each student, employing various diagnostic tools and techniques.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize emotional well-being, mental health issues, and successful integration into the school environment.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and methodologies specific to ASD, learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral disorders, as well as ADHD and trauma-informed care.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, focusing on personal growth, emotional regulation, and the adoption of effective coping strategies.
• Engage in collaborative efforts with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support services to students experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate students and families about mental health conditions, available resources, and coping strategies through psychoeducation sessions.
• Ensure meticulous record-keeping and documentation that adheres to legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
• Participate regularly in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development initiatives designed to maintain a high standard of care.
• Stay informed on the most recent laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines that govern our practice.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The ideal candidate will work primarily with students who exhibit a range of complexities in their mental health and educational needs, including but not limited to autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and emotional disturbances. Understanding their unique backgrounds and challenges is key to delivering effective support that promotes student success both inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications

We seek a passionate professional who meets the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current and valid LCSW license in the state of Texas.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, preferred in a school or educational setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of various mental health disorders and effective treatment modalities.
• Expertise in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and creating tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.
• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy, utilizing diverse therapeutic approaches.
• Strong crisis intervention skills with the ability to handle high-stress situations calmly and effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer skills.
• The ability to work within a team-oriented framework while maintaining professional autonomy.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, candidates with experience in special education and knowledge of trauma-informed care practices will be highly regarded. Familiarity with school policies and working within a multidisciplinary setting will enhance the candidate's ability to effectively support our student population.

Compensation and Benefits
