Key Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group counseling sessions tailored to the specific needs of clients.
• Facilitate sessions for various mental health concerns while employing evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices.
• Perform intake assessments to identify each client’s unique needs, and collaboratively develop personalized treatment plans and goals.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress and treatment outcomes, adhering to legal and ethical standards.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and other clinicians, to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated on best practices and innovative therapies in the field.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will be working primarily with clients experiencing acute mental health crises, including those with ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, and other co-occurring conditions. Our population consists of individuals who require intensive support to navigate their challenges and achieve personal recovery goals. Your empathetic approach will help build trust and rapport, fostering a safe space for clients to discuss their thoughts and feelings.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field.
• Active and valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in mental health counseling, particularly with children and adolescents.
• Proficiency in various counseling techniques, including grief counseling and addiction treatment methodologies.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a telehealth or remote counseling setting preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems for efficient documentation and record-keeping.
• Additional certifications in specialized areas of counseling or therapy are a plus.
