Overview

VTG is seeking a Program Manager in Washington, DC, to support our Navy customer. 


What will you do?

As a Program Manager, you will lead the overall planning, direction and success of a major program focused on U.S. Navy systems development efforts. The program is a large, multi-year effort, with short-term and long-range projects and tasks. PM responsibilities include direct and regular customer engagement; formulating, guiding, and directing technical activities; assessing and applying qualified personnel and financial resources; training and development of team members; establishing and controlling program milestones, schedules, budgets and costs; and overseeing preparation and submittal of accurate and quality deliverables.The PM may also contribute to company business development projects and initiatives, providing strategic and technical insight and composition.  


Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor's degree in any technical-related field or engineering field and 15 years professional experience related to U.S. Navy or Department of War (DoW) systems development and integration, or.
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field and ten years of relevant experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or DAWIA III in Program Management.
  • Excellent communication and briefing skills.
  • Program Management experience running a large support services contract with subcontractors.
  • Experience with cost, schedule and performance management of professional services contract.
  • Must have and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Skills:

  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner).
  • Foreign Military Sales (FMS) familiarity.
  • Knowledge of various Combat System Elements.
  • Surface Navy operational experience a plus.

*Position contingent upon contract award*

VTG’s estimated starting pay range is $130,000-$220,000 which is a general guideline for the geographic location. When extending an offer, VTG also considers work experience, education, skill level, market considerations and may possibly include contractual requirements which may cause an offer to fall outside of this range.
