Overview

Apogee has an exciting new opportunity for a Program Manager to support Headquarters United States Air Force (HAF/A10). In this role, you will be responsible for comprehensive program management, project planning, and personnel management for this contract, ensuring successful accomplishment of tasks outlined in the Performance Work Statement.

The HAF/A10 contract delivers technical, analytical, operational, programmatic, and planning subject-matter expertise to HAF/A10 and its component divisions to advance national security strategic plans, policies, concepts, and initiatives.

This is a full-time position, located on-site at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
  • Program Management & Oversight. Provide management and oversight of all activities performed by Contractor personnel and subcontractors. Serves as the primary Government POC and has full authority to act on behalf Apogee
  • Project Management Planning. Develop and maintain a comprehensive program management plan utilizing standard project management software.  Responsible for developing  a detailed Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), a staffing matrix, operating procedures (travel, leave, etc.), a Quality Control Plan (QCP), and a deliverable/milestone schedule.
  • Communication & Reporting. Responsible for compiling, editing, and submitting monthly status reports among the contract staff.  Conduct In-progress reviews with the Contracting Officer's Representative, Functional Commander/Director. 
Qualifications

Minimum Experience:

Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Must possess a TS-level clearance with SCI eligibility and maintain itEducation: Bachelor's degree Years of Experience:  Twenty-five (25) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include fifteen (15) years of DoD experienceAdditional Experience: 

  • Experience planning, directing, and managing complex projects of similar size and scope
  • Experience managing employees across various labor categories
  • Experience working with USAF and/or DoD leadership
  • Experience identifying user requirements and translating them into project plans

Preferred Qualifications:Clearance: TS/SCI

Education: Master's degreeYears of Experience: Twenty (20) years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline; to include twelve (12) years of DoD experience
