Inovair Mechanical Assembler

Inovair is the worldwide leading manufacturer of blowers and compressors for the aircraft ground support market, and the manufacturer of the only high efficiency blower packages made in the USA and compliant for Buy America Build American (BABA) federal funding. Inovair is the industrial products division of Accessible Technologies, Inc. and was founded in 1994 to expand the application of high efficiency geared centrifugal blower technology within forced induction, aerospace, municipal and industrial applications. Highly efficient blower design, durable transmission design and space utilization are just a few hallmarks of the Inovair line. We are proud that all Inovair activities (engineering, manufacturing, and service) are performed in the USA.

We are seeking a Mechanical Assembler with experience in assembling and testing high-speed rotating equipment and/or familiarity with transmissions and gearcases, as well as prior leadership experience. This is a full-time hourly production position with benefits, reporting to the Inovair Assembly Lead and the Director of Manufacturing.

Mechanical Assembler Responsibilities:

This position is in a manufacturing/shop environment and is responsible for performing a wide range of assembly functions to build and inspect sub-assemblies and main assemblies associated with our Inovair product line.

Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Meet required daily schedules and deadlines

· Maintain quality standards for assemblies produced.

· Follow proper work safety practices

· Assist with manufacture of other precision assemblies related to product line

· Clean and prepare parts before assembly, including parts inspection

· Ability to use computers and other office equipment

· Communicate and report non-conforming parts to supervisor to resolve issue

· Maintain inventory of product in work area

· Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly

· Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment

Required Qualifications:

· Rotating equipment/machinery experience

· Mechanical aptitude and dexterity

· 2+ years of assembly experience working in a production environment

· 2+ years’ experience with automotive transmissions and/or high-speed gear cases

· Knowledge of use of basic hand tools, torque wrenches, pneumatic tool’s

· Ability to use and read micrometers, calipers, dial indicators

· Ability to handle the demands of working under deadlines

· Must be very detail-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, friendly, reliable, and use good judgment

· Ability to work and communicate effectively with other employees in a close working environment.

Desired Qualifications:

· Experience working with bearings and other precision parts

· Experience with reading blueprints and assembly drawings

· Controls system experience, including training and/or certification to UL 508A

Occasional overtime is available to meet product demands and schedules. May be exposed to cleaning solvents, compressed air, cast aluminum components, steel components, petroleum products, hot surfaces/ovens, and alcohol-based cleaning compounds.
