Job Description
Centrillion has an immediate opening for a full-time Bioinformatics Scientist specializing in Population Genomics. We're looking for an energetic, innovative, and motivated person who works well independently and on teams. The ideal candidate will have experience working with NGS data and solving population genomics problems. The role will involve collaborating with other scientists and product development teams, so strong communication skills are a must.
  • Work within a fast-paced, collaborative environment with small teams working on a variety of projects ranging from new product development to DNA data analysis
  • Develop and apply new population genomics algorithms tailored to the company's new and existing products
  • Guide future product development based on advances in the field of population genomics

Qualifications
  • Strong background in mathematics/statistics/bioinformatics with a degree in a related field.
  • Strong analytical, coding, communication, and organizational skills
  • Experience with population genomics methods, including building models for population classification using allele frequency data
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language
  • Experience analyzing NGS data sets
