Job description

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is currently hiring for a full-time Polyethylene (Insulation) Laborer to work at our Waggaman, LA location. Insulation Operators are responsible for assisting the Insulation Shop Foreman in order to meet production deadlines.
Essential Duties:
  • Operate insulation equipment in accordance with the work order
  • Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets
  • Maintain quality standards
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Notify managers concerning any non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment
  • Maintain a healthy and safe working environment

Shifts Available:
  • 6:00am - 2:30pm
  • 3:00pm - 1:30am

Ideal Candidate:
  • Previous experience a plus
  • Candidates must be able to measure quickly and accurately.
  • Have exceptional attention to detail.
  • Have basic computer knowledge.
  • Be able to stand and work in a warm environment for an 8-hour shift.
  • Have good working knowledge of figures and numbers.
  • Be able to work quickly and efficiently.
  • Be able to lift and carry heavy objects (over 50 pounds).
