Job description

The flight checker picks up flight schedules for specific airline from dispatch. Look/collect Final information count to include flight number, type of aircraft, configuration and type of service. Locate flights and final/pack specific items on the meal carts. Add/check ice cream, condiments, hot entre, check special meals, crew, flight completion and temperature taking before finalizing flight. Identify all discrepancies, inform supervisor and ensure that all missing items are placed on the flight. Communicate any problems with the flight to dispatch. Perform additional duties as needed. Must be able to read, speak and write English and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. They must have the ability to be accurate, organized, thorough, pays attention to detail. Need to understand and interpret Airline SITA telexes. They must have strong mathematical skills, be able to interact with all levels of employees. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, Must be able to perform duties in refrigerated location, Must be self-directed and be able to work with little supervision. Must be able to work under pressure and must be able to work flexible shifts. Must have a good performance and attendance record.
