Job description

Packaging Technician II
Position Summary

We are looking for a dependable Packaging Technician II to help keep our facility and production equipment operating safely and efficiently. In this role, you will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, complete repairs, and assist with installing new equipment. Your work will play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting daily production.

What You'll Do
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs) and routine equipment inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues quickly to minimize production downtime.
  • Make emergency repairs and equipment adjustments while production lines are operating.
  • Modify or fabricate equipment and parts to improve efficiency and support production needs.
  • Install new equipment and assist with production process improvements.
  • Maintain building systems, including:
    • Refrigeration systems
    • Steam systems
    • Wastewater treatment equipment
    • Building environmental systems
  • Help ensure all equipment and facility systems remain safe, reliable, and in good working condition.
  • During winter months, maintain outdoor walkways and entrances by clearing snow and ice.


Requirements

The following certifications are a plus, but may not be required depending on experience:

  • Electrical License
  • Wastewater Treatment License
  • Boiler Certification
  • Mechanical Certification
