What We Are Looking For:


The Senior System Analyst will serve as a subject matter expert in defining, analyzing, and validating processes within the Policy Administration System (FAST). They will be responsible for creating detailed system requirement tickets and collaborating with developers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure successful execution across all phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC). The Application Services team supports the Policy Administration platform along with other configurable systems, including customer relationship management, data transport, and document generation services.


A successful candidate will be a strong communicator who takes full ownership of their responsibilities and consistently drives tasks to completion. They will collaborate closely with business users, product owners, developers, testers, and deployment teams to provide comprehensive system support. This includes analyzing and reproducing technical issues, evaluating upcoming changes, and offering well-informed recommendations to support product launches.


The role demands prior experience as a Business Systems Analyst or a similar position within an IT function, along with proven expertise in the insurance domain. Familiarity with Policy Administration Systems and insurance products-particularly annuities-is highly preferred. This role reports to the Sr. Manager Admin and is required to be onsite 3 days a week at our Durham, NC headquarters.ย ย 


What You Will Do:

  • Analyze insurance system components, recommend modernization strategies, and implement improvements.
  • Conduct requirement analysis for annuity product changes, and coordinate with application configurator to design and develop insurance products for Aspida.
  • Collaborate with the application vendor to identify required changes and document/design the implementation plan.
  • Analyze data feeds, diagnose the root cause of issues, and resolve problems related to application data.
  • Work closely with application developers and product owners across teams to implement product solutions.
  • Serve as the expert and primary point of contact for production issues impacting your system(s).
  • Perform defect analysis and propose system enhancements.
  • Maintain high-quality documentation.
  • Assist in functional testing of production systems to answer queries from end users.
  • Create training materials (SOPs) and assist end users with new functionality.
  • Create process flows and for business procedures and assess potential enhancements.
  • Maintain high quality documentation for system updates.
