Job description

Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems, LLC is seeking a motivated and qualified Program Manager / Lead Instructor to support a U.S. Space Force Delta 7 training program. This position offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team while supporting the delivery of mission-critical classified space intelligence training.

The Program Manager / Lead Instructor will serve as the primary Government for point of contact and provide overall leadership for contract execution, including staffing, scheduling, quality assurance, reporting, and customer coordination. In addition, this individual will serve as the lead instructor, overseeing and supporting in the delivery of training for the Space Warfighter Intelligence Fundamentals Training (SWIFT), Analysis, Structured Techniques, Reasoning and Operational Tradecraft (ASTRO), Mission Planning Course (MPC), Space Targeting Course, and Foreign Instrumentation Signals Intelligence (FISINT) programs while ensuring the successful execution and continuous improvement of all training activities.

Key Responsibilities

The Program Manager & Lead Instructor will:

  • Serve as the Program Manager and primary point of contact for the Government, providing overall leadership and oversight of contract execution
  • Manage day-to-day program operations, including staffing, scheduling, transition activities, quality assurance, risk management, performance metrics, and contract reporting
  • Lead and mentor a team of instructors while ensuring the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of all training activities
  • Deliver instructor-led training in support of the Space War fighter Intelligence Fundamentals Training (SWIFT), Analysis, Structured Techniques, Reasoning and Operational Trade-craft (ASTRO), Mission Planning Course (MPC), and comparable intelligence training programs
  • Coordinate with Government stakeholders, instructors, and corporate leadership to ensure contract requirements, training objectives, and customer expectations are met
  • Develop, review, and maintain Programs of Instruction (POIs), lesson plans, practical exercises, assessments, student materials, and courseware
  • Oversee course delivery schedules, classroom operations, student support, instructor assignments, and training logistics
  • Ensure training is delivered in accordance with established instructional standards, security requirements, and applicable DoD and Department of the Air Force guidance
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by evaluating training effectiveness, reviewing student feedback, and implementing program enhancements

Skills and Experience

The Program Manager & Lead Instructor must have:

  • Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
  • 8+ years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Air Force (DAF), Intelligence Community (IC), space operations, intelligence, ISR, intelligence training, program management, or related mission areas
  • Experience managing classified training programs, operational support programs, or contract teams
  • Experience serving as a Program Manager, Lead Instructor, Senior Instructor, Course Manager, Training Lead, or in a comparable leadership role
  • Experience delivering instructor-led training in a classified operational or Intelligence Community environment
  • Experience leading instructor teams, managing course schedules, coordinating staffing, overseeing quality assurance, and supporting customer engagement
  • Experience developing or maintaining Programs of Instruction (POIs), lesson plans, assessments, practical exercises, and instructional courseware
  • Ability to work full-time on-site at Peterson Space Force Base
  • Demonstrated ability to lead both program execution and instructional delivery in a classified environment
  • Experience supporting Space Warf ighter Intelligence Fundamentals Training (SWIFT), Analysis, Structured Techniques, Reasoning and Operational Trade-craft (ASTRO), Mission Planning Course (MPC), or comparable intelligence training programs
  • Familiarity with DAFH 36-2675, instructional systems design (ISD), ADDIE methodology, or formal military instructor certification programs
  • Experience supporting the U.S. Space Force (USSF), Combat Forces Command (CFC), Space Delta 7, U.S. Air Force (USAF), or other classified space intelligence organizations
  • Knowledge of space operations, ISR, space targeting, mission planning, and classified intelligence training environments

Education and Certifications

The Program Manager & Lead Instructor must meet the following:

Required

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in intelligence studies, space operations, education, instructional design, program management, national security, or a related field from an accredited college or university

  • Formal instructor certification or military instructor qualification

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner, and that may include lifting up to thirty pounds, as necessary.
