Airgas Specialty Products is a trusted provider of anhydrous ammonia and ammonium hydroxide. ASP is seeking one experienced local Plant Operator to join our Operations team.
The Plant Operator will be responsible for the delivery and coordination of day to day operations. Participate in the safe handling of Anhydrous Ammonia and Ammonium Hydroxide processes and applications to support Airgas customers. Maintain neat, clean, and professional personal appearance, and maintain facility to the professional standards set forth by Airgas. Listens to and addresses customer needs and builds solutions.
  • Bulk cargo tank loading/unloading/evacuation (anhydrous ammonia/ammonium hydroxide).
  • Plant maintenance for all aspects of the facility.
  • Truck and trailer maintenance including pump rebuilds and all other process pieces.
  • Cold Flo sampling (anhydrous ammonia).
  • Production and testing (ammonium hydroxide).
  • Daily inventory/monitoring of products.
  • Data recording/interpreting.
  • Foster a culture of safety by maintaining key protocols.
  • Complete plant inspections and hose inspections.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.
  • Knowledge of the area and ability to lift 60 lbs required.
  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work overtime if necessary.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds
  • Must have basic computer experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with pumps, compressors, and hazardous material.
