In this critical role, you will provide essential therapeutic services that support individuals facing emotional and psychological challenges. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving clients' mental health and overall quality of life.

About the Organization

Pinnacle Rehab Center is a premier mental health and rehabilitation facility located in West Hempstead, New York. We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive, evidence-based mental health services to a diverse clientele. Our mission is to empower individuals to overcome challenges associated with mood disorders, addiction, and other mental health issues. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment where both our clients and staff can grow and thrive.

Work Environment

This position will be conducted remotely, allowing for flexibility while providing outstanding mental health services. Our outpatient office serves as a hub where treatment plans are developed and progress is monitored closely. As you'll be working with clients through virtual platforms, strong communication and technology skills are necessary to ensure effective therapy sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to assess mood disorder symptoms, focusing on their intensity, frequency, and duration.
  • Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans that align with their specific needs and therapeutic goals.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate client growth and recovery.
  • Provide education and guidance to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  • Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to maximize effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advancements in mood disorder treatment to continually improve therapeutic strategies.
  • Adhere to legal and ethical guidelines in maintaining detailed and confidential clinical records.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills.
  • Advocate for clients, particularly those facing mental health stigma and barriers to accessing care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of this role will be individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You'll work with a diverse patient population, enabling you to apply your expertise in a meaningful way. This includes providing therapeutic support for homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse.

Qualifications
  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
  • A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster a trusting therapeutic relationship.
  • Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients’ experiences.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage caseloads efficiently.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience working with mood disorders and a variety of client backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methods and their implementation in therapy.
  • Prior experience in remote therapy settings is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, retirement plan options, and health insurance.
  • Support for continuing education and professional development in areas such as addiction counseling.
  • A collaborative and friendly work environment that emphasizes ongoing mentorship and guidance.
  • Opportunities to make a significant impact on patients' lives, aiding in their long-term recovery and well-being.
  • Access to resources and research on addiction and mood disorder treatment strategies.
