PAYROLL SPECIALIST - Full-Time

Join a dynamic healthcare company that believes in a team approach and focuses on doing what is best for our patients. As a Payroll Specialist, you will have the opportunity to advance your career while receiving strong compensation and excellent benefits.  This is a full-time position Monday – Friday and will office in-person at our Central Administration campus. Enjoy casual work attire and a team committed to excellence.  Office is located near Swan and Broadway.  

JOB Summary

  • Verifying employee timesheets to confirm hours worked and ensure accuracy
  • Calculating wages, overtime and bonuses
  • Processing biweekly payroll using UltiPro (Ultimate) software
  • Entering data related to all employee information, benefits deductions, tax withholdings and direct deposit preferences
  • Maintaining organized records of payroll transactions and employee compensation and deductions
  • Investigating and resolving payroll discrepancies or employee inquiries
  • Ensuring compliance with wage and hour laws and company policies
  • Processing wage garnishments, levies and other court-ordered deductions
  • Correlating information needed for distribution of W2’s at the end of the year
  • Various Accounting duties as needed

JOB Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent, two years college preferred
  • At least three years of prior work experience in payroll processing

·         Intermediate proficiency in MS Work, Excel, Accounting/Payroll systems

·         Ten key proficiency a must

·         Support payroll-related journal entries and expense reclassifications

  • Must have organization skills and attention to detail ability
