Job description

We are seeking a reliable and organized local Delivery Driver to support our operations by transporting materials, plants, and equipment between vendors, our yard, and job sites. This role is critical to ensuring efficiency across our teams, with an emphasis on planning routes, maintaining flexibility for emergencies, and contributing to general shop support when not on the road. This will not require any OTR driving. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery & Pickup Scheduling
  • Follow a weekly calendar managed by the Logistics & Nursery Manager.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings to review scheduled routes for deliveries and pickups.
  • Coordinate timely pickups from vendors and deliveries to job sites.
  • Material & Equipment Transport
  • Deliver materials from the yard to various job sites.
  • Transport machines and equipment as needed.
  • Operate dump truck for hauling dirt, rubble, and other materials from job sites.
  • Flexibility & Emergency Response
  • Maintain readiness for urgent or last-minute deliveries when required.
  • Adjust schedule as directed while balancing efficiency and vendor coordination.
  • Shop & Maintenance Support
  • Assist with equipment maintenance, small repairs, and seasonal shop prep (e.g., A&O, snow/ice readiness).
  • Support shop operations when driving duties are light.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • CDL is a plus
  • Experience operating trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment transport is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow schedules and adapt to changes.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with equipment maintenance.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
