Job description

FIELD MANAGER

The Field Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing all field operations and ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, and efficiency at Lucas Oil Stadium. This position requires advanced expertise in field management, from overseeing the full-time field services team to coordinating complex field activities and changeovers for diverse events. The Field Manager operates autonomously while maintaining close alignment with department goals, policies, and operational requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor the full-time field services staff and temporary labor, ensuring high performance, efficiency, and adherence to safety standards.
  • Oversee all field activities and complex changeovers for events, including OmniDeck installation/removal, plywood placement, retractable and portable seat adjustments, field preparation, and grooming.
  • Coordinate the maintenance and repair of field equipment and turf, working closely with contractors and vendors to ensure timely and quality service.
  • Develop and implement detailed work schedules for all field-related activities, ensuring adequate staffing and seamless transitions between events.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for turf contractors and other NFL Field Coordinators, fostering collaboration and sharing best practices across the industry.
  • Attend industry conferences, such as the NFL Field Managers annual conference, to stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in field management.
  • Ensure all field changeovers and event preparations are executed to the highest standards, meeting client and event-specific requirements with precision and attention to detail.
  • Provide leadership in maintaining field safety standards and operational policies, ensuring compliance with stadium regulations and industry guidelines.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Stadium Director, demonstrating flexibility and the ability to manage diverse operational challenges.
