The Musicians Learning Center, North Carolina’s largest music school, is hiring!

We are looking for a friendly, organized, detail-oriented person to join our team as a Music School Customer Experience Coordinator.
This is an important role at our school. As one of the first people our students and families interact with, you will help create a welcoming, positive, and professional experience from the moment they walk through our doors or call us on the phone.
Is This You?

Are you friendly and outgoing? Do you have excellent phone and computer skills? Do you have great attention to detail and enjoy keeping things organized? Can you multitask and stay calm in a busy, sometimes noisy environment? Are you a team player who takes pride in doing your job with excellence? Are you looking for a steady work environment with a set schedule and benefits? Are you interested in building a career and growing both personally and professionally? Do you love working with kids and families? Do you want to make a positive impact on your community? If you answered yes to these questions, you might be the person we've been searching for!

What You'll Do

As a Music School Customer Experience Coordinator, you'll help keep our school running smoothly while providing an excellent experience for our students and families.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
  • Welcoming students and families and providing exceptional customer service
  • Answering phones and responding to questions from parents and students
  • Helping families with scheduling, registration, payments, and account needs
  • Using computers and school management systems to maintain accurate information
  • Communicating with teachers and other members of our team
  • Helping solve problems and finding solutions for students and families
  • Completing administrative tasks accurately and efficiently
  • Keeping our front-office environment organized, welcoming, and professional
  • Working as part of a team to help our school meet its goals
No Musical Experience Necessary!

You do not need to be a musician or have previous experience in music education to be successful in this position. We will provide training on our systems and teach you what you need to know about how our school operates.
What matters most to us is your professionalism, communication skills, attention to detail, positive attitude, reliability, and ability to work well with people.

We also expect our team members to maintain a clean, polished, and professional appearance appropriate for a customer-facing role. As a representative of our school, you will help set the tone for the experience our students and families have with us.
Schedule

This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule:
  • Monday–Thursday: 12:15 PM–8:15 PM
  • Rotating Fridays: 12:15 PM–8:15 PM
  • Rotating Saturdays: 10:30 AM–4:30 PM
Because our busiest hours are after school and into the evening, the ability to consistently work this schedule is an important part of the position.

Compensation & Benefits

Starting pay: $17.00 per hour

We are looking for someone who wants more than just a job. We want someone who is interested in growing with our school, developing professionally, and becoming a valued member of our team.
After your 45-day trial period, you'll receive:
  • 40 hours of paid time off
  • 100% company-paid supplemental vision and dental insurance
  • 100% company-paid life insurance, if qualified
  • Bonuses and incentives for reaching goals
  • One free weekly music lesson for you or an immediate family member
  • Professional development and opportunities for personal growth
  • And much more!

Our Interview Process

We want to get to know you—and give you the opportunity to get to know us, too!
Step One: Apply!
Submit your application and you'll receive an email with instructions for the first step.
Step Two: Phone Screening
You'll be asked to call a number and leave a voicemail answering a set of questions. This gives us an opportunity to hear how you communicate and learn a little more about you.
Step Three: Zoom Interview
You'll receive a link to schedule a Zoom interview with our director.
Step Four: In-Person Interview
We'll invite you to meet with us in person and learn more about the position, our team, and our school.
Step Five: Paid Working Interview
We'll invite you to work a paid shift or two with our team. This gives us an opportunity to continue the interview process while giving you a chance to experience the job, meet the team, and decide whether we're the right fit for you.
Ready to Join Our Team?

If you're friendly, dependable, organized, professional, and enjoy working with people, we'd love to hear from you!
You don't have to be a musician. You just have to care about people, take pride in your work, and want to be part of something meaningful.
Interested in joining the Musicians Learning Center team? We can't wait to hear from you!
