Position Overview:

The Mortgage Operations Trainer plays a critical role in developing operational excellence and fostering a collaborative culture within the mortgage team. This position combines Producer (P) qualitiesโ€”delivering high-quality, practical trainingโ€”with Integrator (I) skillsโ€”building strong relationships and promoting teamwork. The trainer also applies Administrator (A) principles to ensure compliance and process consistency, supporting the organizationโ€™s growth and adaptability.


Key Responsibilities:


Producer (P):


Deliver effective, results-oriented training programs for mortgage operations staff.


Ensure employees gain practical skills to meet performance and productivity goals.


Administrator (A):


Develop structured training materials aligned with regulatory requirements and company policies.


Maintain accurate training records and compliance documentation.


Integrator (I):


Foster a positive learning environment that encourages collaboration and knowledge sharing.


Partner with managers and team leads to identify skill gaps and create tailored solutions.


Entrepreneur (E):


Recommend innovative training methods and tools to improve engagement and efficiency.

Requirements:

Education/Experience:


Strong operational knowledge of mortgage processes and compliance standards.


Excellent facilitation and interpersonal skills to integrate teams and build trust.


Ability to balance structure with adaptability in a dynamic environment.


3+ years of experience in mortgage operations (processing, underwriting, closing) or training role within financial services.


Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.


Ability to design engaging training content and adapt to different learning styles.


Travel:


As needed travel internationally between United States and Mexico to meet business needs.


Language:


English preferred, Bi-Lingual (English/Spanish) desired.
